  7. The U-DASYS format controls the same functions as the drum card- auto skip,
  8. auto dup, left justify, zero fill, signed fields, alpha and numeric
  9. designation and check digit verification.  You are able to write special edit
  10. routines (via COBOL) that will validate entries against a data file.  Keypunch
  11. departments rely on retaining batches of data in files or trays for input.
  12. U-DASYS organizes these input records into a transaction data file on disk.
  13. The ease of operating U-DASYS on-line gives you the option of putting the data
  14. entry back in the various user departments.
